Meadow Rue - Early
Thalictrum dioecum

Early Meadow Rue blooms during the early spring, before the leaf canopy emerges. It prefers moist, rich woodland soils.
Meadow Rue is dioecious, which is a fancy way of saying that male and female flowers are on different plants. This plant was fairly common on Trail 4 at Clifty Falls State Park.
