There are many ways to enjoy the beauty of nature and one of the easiest is to simply get in the car and drive! A scenic drive is a relaxing way to spend a vacation or day off. No matter what state you are in, there is always a highway or byway near which offers some natural beauty to feed the eyes.

A scenic road trip through the countryside can be an easy way to enjoy nature at its finest, whether the highway passes through mountains, desert, coastal area or simply through quaint agricultural areas.

This scenic drive and vacation guide will grow over time and will be organized by state. The primary area covered will be Indiana, our home state, but since we tend to vacation two or three times a year in other states it will also include scenic byways from other states.

We have traveled through Tennesee, Virginia, New York, South Carolina, Kentucky and some other states, so the scenic road trip and vacation information will gradually include driving information from these and other states. We also took an Alaskan Cruise in 2005, so the information will also include some to the driving we did up there. Alaska undoubtedly had some of the best scenic drives we have ever experienced.
