Whitewater Gorge, at the jucntion of three branches of the Whitewater River near Richmond, is a relic of the Ice Age. When the glaciers melted the runoff created a deep gorge in the Indiana landscape, making some unique geological features.

The Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society preserves the railroad heritage which helped build the nation. South Bend is home to the Northern Indiana Center For History. Historical structures, galleries and exhibits showcase Hoosier History in many ways.
