White River State Park is located in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana and is adjacent to the Indianapolis Zoo. It is the state's only urban State Park, and one of the very few in the United States. From one facility you can visit the Zoo, Botanical Gardens and Conservatory, and baseball game. It is within walking distance of the Indiana State Museum and Imax Theatre.

The conservatory hosts several special exhibits each year. It is two levels and is extensively planted with tropical plants and other flowering plants. White River State Park can be a wonderful tropical retreat on a cold winter day.

The botanical gardens at White River State Park are extensively planted with trees, shrubs, grasses, perennial flowers and annual flowering plants. There are also some changing exhibits throughout the growing season.

The Governor's Lawn is located here, also. It is the site of more than ten nationally famous music artists each summer. Seating accomadates 5,000 people in an area which overlooks the White River.
