Solar Garden Light - The Post and Cap Light © 2008Solar post lights are designed as stand alone yard lights to provide illumination to sidewalks, patios, driveways and lawns. There are two different types - ones mounted on a post which can vary from three to seven feet tall. There are many different styles of solar post garden lights from which to choose, including traditional gas lamps to more modern designs. The solar post cap light is designed to sit atop a post of your choosing, or to replace a traditional post light which has become inoperative. One of these units could easily be installed on an existing post with some minor modifications. Both the solar post and cap lights will have a solar cell, light bulbs and sensor included. Either could be installed without running wires or installing switches. Most will have light sensors which will turn the unit on when darkness reaches a certain level. Others may have a motion detector on them, which will turn them on only when movement nearby is detected. |
