Needing a quick way to detach and switch hoses at a water hydrant and to switch nozzles on the end
of the garden hose, I purchased a Green Thumb Garden Hose Quick Connect system. These systems are
pretty inexpensive and work extremely well. I had a pre-existing system which I don't remember the
name that this hose connection system is compatable with. It may be compatable with other leading
brands as well.

There are four basic components to this system, the hydrant male connector, the hose female
connector, the hose end female connector and the nozzle male connector. There are two of
these included in the kit. Don't worry, this isn't as complicated as it sounds.
First, the hydrant male connector is screwed onto the outside faucet, or in my case the outside
hydrant. Next the hose female connector is screwed onto the hose and snapped on the male
connector.

Then the hose end female connector is screwed on to the other end (female) of the hose. This
garden hose connection device has a shut off valve to enable you to control the nozzle at the
garden hose end. The
male nozzle connectors are screwed onto your two most used nozzles. One could be a lawn sprinkler,
the other any nozzle which you use a lot. The nozzles can then be interchanged quickly and easily.
Another set, or in my case the compatable connector I already had can be used to quicky interchange
hoses at the faucet.
Full instructions are included with the system and the Green Thumb Garden Hose Quick Connect system
can be up and running in less than five minutes.
