About Us
Sometimes not all the material you put in the compost bin doesn't all digest by the time you want to use the compost. This can include stick, large plant stems, and other large debris left behind. This material can be screened out by using a compost sifter, or sieve. The resulting fine compost material may be then added to a seed bed or garden.

A compost sieve will usually have a one quarter inch screen which serves as the sifter, fastened to a box which will then fit over a bucket or wheelbarrow. The compost is simply shoveled into the sifter. Shake the sifter, and the fine material will fall through. The larger material left behind can simply be added to another compost pile for further composting.
